Trusstor’s Construction Sequence Planner: Your Blueprint for On-Site Success

A construction sequence plan is the backbone of any successful construction project. It’s basically the full blueprint that lays out how and when the project will get done and dusted. In the complex world of onsite activities, sequence planning is without a doubt a super efficient way to manage projects. It maps out each key milestone and the associated activities, and tracks their progress to make sure everything stays on budget and on schedule.

The concept of sequence planning is at the very core of Trusstor. The platform, built by builders for builders, allows construction firms to use its sequencing functionality to establish timelines and create a complete roadmap for each building project.

With Trusstor’s Sequences, users are able to view and easily navigate through the thousands of activities involved in a construction project. This gives them full visibility of each project roadmap and how each element is progressing to ensure activities get completed and projects wrap up faster. Plus, Trusstor’s construction sequence model catches any potential conflicts or hiccups early, and helps figure out exactly how to finish the project on time and within budget.

Construction Sequences Made Simple

Trusstor’s Sequences is a centralized tool for highly effective activity monitoring.  Sequences can be viewed in two different tabs. The first, Calendar View, provides a complete timeline of all the activities by profession or by floor. The second tab, which we will focus on, is the Progress Tracker, which allows users to create as many sequences as they need.

In every project there are different types of sequences — the sequential activities that must be completed, or at least started, in order. For example, in a high rise project there will be many sequences. Many of these will be repeated on each floor, such as apartments, lobbies, etc. Using Trusstor, all sequences are a breeze and super fast to set up.

Streamlined Sequence Creation and Management

Trusstor allows users to quickly and easily create the amount of sequences they need to ensure the project has a precisely ordered plan of the activities to be completed. Creating and editing a sequence is a breeze. And once created you can navigate easily through different sequences.

The filter function allows you to view sequences by specific profession, and you can scroll between different floors to see the various sequences specific for each one. Once an activity is completed, simply click on the cell to update its status. For each sequence you can also see the total amount of activities that have been completed and the number that remain.

Stay on Track: Prioritize and Update with Ease

As with everything on building sites (and in life!), some things are more important than others. So, Trusstor enables users to allocate a star to a sequence, marking it out from others. You can then filter sequences to view only the most important ones that have been tagged with a star.

Status updates allow you to easily set and update timelines for each activity within the sequence to aid decision making and planning. To update a task you can click on the specific cell to update. This is called a single update. Batch editing also allows you to save time by selecting multiple cells to update a group of tasks with one click.

See the Big Picture: Full-Screen Mode and Excel Export

To get a bird’s eye view of the complete set of sequences involved in a project you can simply click on the ‘full screen’ button. You can also use the ‘zoom controller’ to focus in on a specific set of cells or to zoom out to get a border view of a sequence of activities. And all of this data can be easily exported to an Excel spreadsheet to share with management or to create a pivot table to carry out some detailed analysis. Whatever you need, Trusstor provides the functionality needed to crunch and share the data.

Construction projects always come with changes, no matter how much planning happens beforehand. But having a solid construction sequence plan helps you handle those changes without pushing back the deadline. This is because every single detail is outlined and timed, without losing sight of the big picture. This allows users to zoom in on the nitty gritty and zoom out to instantly get a complete view of the project and associated activities when needed.

Trusstor has you covered when changes can pop up to ensure you have the project oversight to keep things on track. This is because it’s crucial for your sequence plan to be flexible and easy to update so you can roll with the punches and any surprises that happen along the way.
